DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE SIGNS WAVE ENERGY AGREEMENT

The Australian Department of Defence signed a power supply and grid connection agreement with wave energy developer Carnegie Wave Energy.Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Federal Member for Brand, the Hon. Gary Gray were present at Carnegie's Wave Energy Research facility at Fremantle, Western Australia, for the signing in July. Australia's Department of Defence and Carnegie signed a formal agreement for the Perth Wave Energy Project on Garden Island, the base of HMAS Stirling, Australia's largest naval facility.
