Russia’s Evraz details coking coal investment plan

Russian mining company and steelmaker Evraz will invest more than $70mn over the next two years in developing its two coking coal mines in the Kemerovo region. Evraz subsidiary Yuzhkuzbassugol owns the Alardinskaya and Uskovskaya mines, which produced a combined 3.8mn t of run-of-mine coking coal last year, accounting for 45pc of Yuzhkuzbassugol’s coking coal output.
