Turkish coal prices gain as supply tightens

Prices for multi-origin coal in Turkey gained last week, as market participants reported tightness in supply in the Mediterranean region. The price of coal was assessed at $52.94/t cif Iskenderun last week, up by 90￠/t from a week earlier. The market has now returned to its highest level since Argus assessed the cif Iskenderun price at $53.69/t in late January.
