Lean gases for cement production

Many industrial processes emit waste gases as byproducts, some of which include unburned hydrocarbons that can be used to provide further energy. Due to their low calorific values, these are termed 'lean gases.' Examples include blast furnace gas, coke oven gas and syngas. In India lean gas producers are often next to cement plants, opening up the potential to use lean gases as an alternative fuel.
