Canadian integrated firm Suncor has offered to buy Canadian Oil Sands (COS) for about C$4.3bn ($3.3bn). The unsolicited offer to COS’ shareholders will be open for two months, unless it is extended or withdrawn. Including COS’ net debt, which stood at C$2.3bn at the end of June, the total value of the proposed deal is C$6.6bn, Suncor said.
