Global coke markets mixed in July

Fuel-grade petroleum coke prices were mixed at key global centers in July, following the lead of the US Gulf coast – the world’s major coke-producing region – where high-sul- phur prices firmed and medium-sulphur prices weakened. Buying interest appeared robust in July, and from a more diverse group of countries. Spot petroleum coke that was sold off of the US Gulf coast in July was shipped to various loca- tions, including at least two South American countries, Europe and Turkey.
