Climate change is a complex and challenging problem with many variables. Developing a portfolio or range of responses is thought by many to be the best strategy for dealing with this issue. Many experts agree, in fact, that to hold temperature rise to the 2°C, let alone the aspirational target of 1.5°C agreed upon at COP21, will require deploying technologies that remove anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide.
