Well, we just got our result from the latest federal election, and the world did not end. In fact, the world hardly noticed, and that speaks volumes for the democratic and even-handed nature of our system. Despite the gloom and doom predicted from the Harperites and the Mulcairists, both accepted defeat with something approaching dignity, and business carried on as usual Tuesday morning. Congratulations were sent to Pierre's son, and a few Albertans even got together to send some MPs to Ottawa. Who said grudges and the NEP die hard? After all, that was only 35 years ago.
