CRUDE OIL IMPORT COSTS AND SPOT PRICES

Import costs of crude oil have been obtained from the monthly Crude Oil Import Register submitted to the IEA Secretariat by member governments. Costs shown for crude oil imports into IEA countries are obtained by dividing value by volume recorded by customs administrations for each tariff position. Values recorded at the import stage include cost, insurance and freight (CIF) but exclude import duties.
