Cemex fuel switching holds down costs

Costs fell and made up a smaller percentage of third-quarter sales for Mexican cement producer Cemex even with a drop in volumes, partly the result of lower prices for petroleum coke and coal and further introduction of alternative fuels and natural gas into the company’s fuel mix.
