Oil product prices and sales tax refer to the Mumbai (Bombay) area, as country-wide average prices and sales tax among the 26 states is not feasible. However, excise tax and customs duties are uniform throughout India. The percentage of sales tax is applied to the price excluding the dealer's commission.
