Two thousand and eight has seen a number of remarkable,if not extraordinary,events take place or unfold.On the political scene,the recent federal election in Canada returned a third consecutive minority government,something that had not occurred in more than 40 years.In granting the Stephen Harper-led Conservatives a second term in office with solid representation across the country,Canadians appear more comfortable with the workings of a strong minority rather than a majority government.
