Overcoming architectural barriers in Italy

Recently owners, public buyers and associations in support of disabled persons ' rights asked if in Italy the removal of the architectural barriers through lifts is applied by means of the EN 81 - 70 or the Ministerial Decree dated 14 June 1989, No. 236 "Technical provisions needed to guarantee the accessibility, adaptability and visibility of private buildings and state-funded residential public buildings in order to overcome and remove the architectural barriers" in private buildings and the Decree of the Republic President dated 24 July 1996, No. 503 "Regolamento recante norme per l'eliminazione delle barriere architettoniche negli edifici, spazi e servizi pubblici"( Rules for the removal of the architectural barriers in buildings, spaces and public services) in public buildings.
