LONDON 2012 CYCLE ROAD RACE - BOX HILL, SURREY

STRI's extensive involvement in Olympic project delivery and post event restoration continued with the Cycle Road Race event. The race required cyclists to complete a number of circuits (seven for men and two for women) of Box Hill's famous Zig Zag Road. Box Hill is an extremely popular site, both with cyclists and tourists alike. Its twisting, turning and hilly roads, coupled with its breath-taking long distance views and its SAC (Special Area for Conservation) designated landscape, made it the perfect venue for the Olympic Cycling Event.
