The Australia Minister for Resources and Energy announced December 14 the opening of Licella’s new research and development (R&D) center focusing on bio-crude production for subsequent conversion into all-hydrocarbon kero-jet, diesel or gasoline fuels. Virgin Australia simultaneously announced a memo of understanding (MoU) with Licella to explore for the biobased jet fuel scheme. Air New Zealand also is participating in the development.
