Solazyme Inks Commercial Supply Agreement with Unilever for Tailored Algal Oil

South San Francisco, Calif.-based algal oil and bioproducts developer Solazyme Inc. announced September 25 it executed a commercial supply agreement with consumer good conglomerate Unilever for Solazyme’s tailored algal oils. According to a statement issued by Solazyme, the companies have been collaborating for five years on multiple projects with increasing levels of success culminating in this initial supply agreement.
