Prices for premium and regular grades of gasoline without ethanol could create retail price disruptions at the gas pump this fall in the U.S. Midwest, according to sources, due to the discontinuation of an 87-octane grade of unleaded gasoline that will be replaced with an 84 “sub-grade”-octane (also known as “V-grade”) formula of unleaded gasoline.
