Sao Martinho Group’s Net Income Rises 20.5% in 2Q 2013/2014 Crop Year

The S?o Martinho Group, one of Brazil’s largest sugar and ethanol producers, announced November 11 that it generated net income of R$60.9 million (US$26.1 million) for its second-quarter (2Q) fiscal-year (FY) 2014 earnings period, an increase of 20.5% from R$50.5 million (US$21.6 million) in the same quarter last year. In the second quarter of the 2013/14 crop year (2Q14), the company’s net revenue amounted to R$614.5 million (US$263.2 million), increasing 12.4% from the same period of the previous crop year.
