CAAC Green-Lights Sinopec’s Aviation Biofuel for Use by Domestic Airliners

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) announced February 12 that it awarded the country’s first aviation biofuel license to Sinopec, allowing China’s top oil refiner to sell its self-produced biofuel to be used by domestic airlines. For over two years, Sinopec’s “No. 1 Aviation Biofuel” has undergone several rounds of tests before it finally received permission by the CAAC to legally sell the biofuel to domestic airliners for regular use.
