Biofuels Center of N.C. Awards Nearly $700,000 for Six In-State Biofuel Projects

The Biofuels Center of North Carolina (BCNC) on April 4 awarded US$684,058 for six projects to accelerate the biofuels industry in western North Carolina. Awards were made through the BCNC’s 2012-2013 targeted biofuels development funding program – titled “Catalyzing Production in Western North Carolina,” which utilizes a portion of the Tennessee Valley Authority settlement funds directed to the BCNC by the North Carolina General Assembly in the 2012 legislative session, according to a statement issued by the BCNC.
