Since its inception in 1995, LVDS (low voltage differential signal) has rapidly gained in popularity for point-to-point links due to its combination of high speed, ultra low power, low noise/EMI and low cost. A comparison is made between existing LVDS and a new derivative from National Semiconductor, called BusLVDS. [References: None]
