India awards 31 blocks

India has awarded 31 exploration blocks, which holds a total of 44 fields, to 23 operators. A total of 46 contract areas were offered under the discovered small and marginal fields (DSF) licensing round. The government believes these awards will bring in a gross investment of US $6.86 Bn over the next 15 years, of which the government’s share is likely to be around $1.43 Bn.
