Meetings, Transactions and Society News-1 ISD Regional Meeting: International Symposium on Autoimmune Bullous Diseases -What's New? Zagreb, Croatia, October 28 and 29, 2011

This symposium, "Autoimmune bullous diseases - What's new?", was organized by the Department of Dermatology and Venereology of the University Hospital Center Zagreb and the Croatian Dermatovenereological Society -Zagreb branch, under the auspices of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Croatia and in cooperation with the International Society of Dermatology (ISD). This event was organized to honor Professor Jasna Lipozencic, longstanding Chair of Department, who was, at the begining of the Symposium, awarded the 2011 Maria M. Duran Medal, presented by ISD Executive Vice President, Professor Dedee F. Murrell. The International Society of Dermatology awards the Maria Duran Medal annually to women leaders in dermatology who have made significant contributions to dermatology. Over 120 local dermatologists and trainees attended the meeting.
