Maurice Clark Fuerstenau

Dr. Maurice C. Fuerstenau died on October 7,2012. At the time of his death, Dr. Fuerstenau was Professor of Metallurgy in the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. Maurice C. Fuerstenau was born on June 6,1933 in Watertown, South Dakota. After graduating from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering (1955), he enrolled in graduate school at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was awarded a Master of Science (1957) and a Doctor of Science in Metallurgy (1961).
