摘要

Dry matter of Damsis sp. (Ambrosia martlmala L.) at one Kilogram/M~2 is a good natural substrate to control the root knot nematode "Meloidogyne incognita" of spring cucumber under- plastic - houses, the percentage of nematode mortality ranged between49.7 and 50.25 percent at the two seasons 1997/1998, 1998/1999. Damsis dry matter improved fruit characteristics and increased the early and total yield over control at the two seasons. The total yield of cucumber ranged between 4.05 - 4.23 kg/M~2 by using Damsis dry matter whereas, the total yield of control treatment was 1.302 - 1.459 kg/m~2. We can recommend that incorporation of 1 kg of Damsis dry weight in one square meter of the soil at the depth of 10cm to control nematodes population in plastichouses, instead of using Methyl-bromide at the rate of 70 g/m~2 of soil.
