For the restoration of endodontically treated teeth, the use of fiber-posts luted with resin cement and combined with composite core build-up materials is becoming very frequent. Since 1990 many new fiber posts and resin adhesive luting systems have been made available by industry and numerous researches revealed their successful clinical results when joined to adhesive/resin systems, due to their superior retention values and behavior under mechanical stress [1-3]. Since fiber-reinforced posts have a modulus of elasticity (E) similar to that of dentin (resp., 18-22 GPa and 18 GPa), they produce a stress field similar to that of natural teeth, thereby reducing the risk of root fracture [4-7].
