Some 40 years ago The Whole Earth Catalog' was published by Stuart Brand giving access to tools, mainly from an American perspective, which helped to shape the environment of today. I consider that 'The Whole Building Handbook' is the modern-day equivalent, mainly from a Scandinavian perspective, it being a compendium of all the issues and strategies that people need to understand in orderto design and construct sustainable buildings, for a sustainable society today and for the next 40 years.
