Searching for Eve: Basal metazoans and the evolution of multicellular complexity

摘要

The recent international workshop ‘Searching for Eve: basal metazoans and the evolution of multicellular complexity’ held at the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing in Bavaria, Germany (12-15 September 2011) was organised by Thomas Bosch (Kiel) and Thomas Holstein (Heidelberg) and sponsored by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). This biennial event has become the most prominent regular meeting dedicated to non-bilaterian metazoan models (often referred to as ‘basal animals’: Porifera, Placozoa, Ctenophora and Cnidaria).
