Studies on Water Pollution of River Mausam of Malegaon (M.S.)

摘要

Hydrobiological study of algae was carried out on Mausam river flowing through Malegaon cicy of Maharashtrafrom September 1992 to August 1994. Algal and water samples were collected at monthly intervals from 4 stations of mausam river during the period of two years of investigation. The most pollution tolerant genera and species of 4 groups of algae viz Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Chlorophyceaeand Euglenineae were recorded for 4 stations, the assessment of water quality of river was made for 4stations by algal communities. The data of physico-chemical analysis is also supported for the study of pollution of Mausam river.
