摘要

Tekkeh Gheysi mountain is located in west part of Zanjan. Tizkouh formation with thickness of 60 meters is placed in altitudes of the mountain. Lithology of this formation has been formed of limestone. Field and petrographic observations of Tizkouh formation sediments led to the identification of 7 carbonate micro fades and 4 facies belts: open marine (A), barrier (B), lagoon (C) and tidal areas (D). Evaluation of fades in the study area and compare them with old and contemporary sedimentary environments demonstrate that Tizkouh formation is deposited in carbonate platform in type of ramp.
