The present investigation entitled Effect of differant levels of nutrients on growth and flowering of Anthurium (Anthurium andreanum L.)" was conducted at Modibaug, Pune. There was significant effect of differant levels of nutrients and varieties on vegetative, floral and yield contributing characters of anthurium. Amongst the four levels of nutrients, F3 (54.0:54.0:108.0 g NPK/Plant/Year) was proved to be the best and superior to all other nutritional levels. The effects of F3 was significant in thevegetative and floral characters such as mean number of leaves per plant (11.21), leaf length (20.19cm),leaf width (12.52cm), plant spread (47.90cm), leaf area index (0.37), stalk length (38.57 cm), stalk diameter (0.49cm), spathe length (8.82cm), spathe width (8.33cm), spadix length (6.90 cm), spadix diameter (0.68cm), number of flowers (10.94), vase life (12.98 days) and average vase life of an individual flower on plant (21.46 days). The lower and upper levels than F3 had lower magnitude of the values in all growth and yield contributing characters. Amongst varieties cv. Esmeraldy was superior over Flame,Aymara and Emperor. The Esmeraldy had significant results,with mean number of leaves per plant (10.84), leaf length (20.92 cm), leaf width (13.21cm), plant spread (46.32cm), leaf area index (0.47), stalk length (36.32 cm), stalk diameter (0.47 cm), spathe length (8.97cm), spathe width (7.64cm), spadix length (6.10 cm), spadix diameter (0.75cm), number of flowers (9.23),vase life (12.52 days) and average vase life of an individual flower on plant (20.53 days). The interaction F3V1 was superior than all other interactions.In most of the vegetative and floral characters this combination proved better than all other combinations.
