Hydrobiological studies on two man made reservoirs from Tasgaon Tahsil (Maharashtra), India

Water is a vital resource used for various activities such as drinking, irrigation, fish production, industrial cooling, power generation and many others. Increased human activities over the recent past years are imposing a greater stress on these ecosystems, resulting in changing their features. There is progressive deterioration of water quality throughout the world. The causative factors responsible for degradation of water quality need to be evaluated so as to take proper steps before the situation becomes worst and uncontrollable. The present paper deals the results of water analysis of two man made reservoirs from Tasgaon Tahsil of Sangli District. Maharashtra, India.
