Aspergillus niger, Alternaria and Fusarium were isolated from leaves of tomato and fruits of dolichos The field experiment was carried out during summer seasn of 2003 at Central Campus Farm, MPKV, Rahuri, Dist- Ahmednagar (M.S.) in randomised block design (factorial) with three replications and sixteen treatment combinations comprised of two cultural practices and eight weed control treatments. The results revealed that the significantly lowest dry weight of weeds at harvest (18.67 gm~2) was observedin the treatment weed free upto 60 DAT which was followed by heriibicidal treatment spraying of pendimethalin @ 1.5 kg a.i.ha~(-1) (PE) + 1 HW at 45 DAT. The highest weed contol efficiency was observed in treatment weed free upto 60 DAT (79.09%) followed by application of pendimethalin @ 1.5 kg a.i. ha~(-1) (PE) + 1 HW at 45 DAT (64.33 %). weed index was lower in spraying of pendimethalin @ a.5 kg a.i.ha~(-1) (PE) + 1 HW at 45 DAT (2.06 per cent). The significantly higher bulb yield of onion was recorded in flat bed method (212.20 q ha~(-1)) and in weed control treatments significantly highest bulb yield (249.38 q ha~(-1)) was obtained from the treatment weed free upto 60 DAT. While it was at par with spraying of pendimethalin @ 1.5 kg a.i. ha~(-1) (PE)+ 1 HW at 45 DAT.
