The fish was exposed to various sublethal concentrations of distillery effluent for 30 days and different blood parameters such as RBC counts, Hb content, TLC, Packed Cell Volume (PCV), Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin, Concentration (MCHC), Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV) and Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin (MCHb), Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), Clotting time (CT), Differential Leucocyte Count (DLC), Bilirubin, Blood Sugar, SCOT and SGFT were estimated. A decreasing tendency in RBC and TLC Counts, HbContents, PCV, MCHC, and Bilirubin was noticed in the fish treated with the distillery effluent. The values for ESR, MCV, MCH, Blood Sugar, SCOT and SGPT were found to be increasing to the experimental fish as the concentration of the effluent increased.
