Survey study of Acid lime orchards for leaf nutrient status

The survey of 35 Acid lime orchards having age of 4-11 years from Western and North Maharashtra region was carried out during the year 2005-2006 on the basis of growth, management and productivity. The orchards were categorized as well managed orchards, averagely managed orchards and neglected orchards. The nutrient content in the leaves were nitrogen 2.26-2.65 per cent Nitrogen, 0.17- 0.23 per cent Phosphorus, 1.36-1.67 per cent Potassium, 2.92 - 3.39 per cent Calcium and 0.21 - 0.32 per cent Magnesium. The top performing orchard leaves contained 2.65 per cent N, 0.23 per cent P, 1.67 per cent K, 3.39 per cent Ca, and 0,32 per cent Mg.
