摘要

Green-emitting Ba_3Si_6O_(12)N_2:Eu~(2+) phosphors were synthesized by Ba_3SiO_5:Eu~(2+) precursor method, and their phase, morphology, photoluminescence (PL) properties were investigated. Contrary to the solid-state reaction technique, the precursor method yielded the single phase Ba_3Si_6O_(12)N_2:Eu~(2+) with a high PL intensity. The influence of calcination temperature, Si_3N_4 content, and Eu~(2+) doping concentration on the phase formation and PL properties were studied. As-synthesized Ba_3Si_6O_(12)N_2:Eu~(2+) phosphors showed a strong emission at 528 nm under the excitation of exc = 400 nm, and the highest emission intensity was observed in Ba_(3-x)Si_6O_(12)N_2 :Eu_x~(2+) (x = 0.2) phosphor, which was calcined at 1400°C in Si3N4 rich condition. The thermal stability of synthesized Ba_3Si_6O_(12)N_2:Eu~(2+) phosphor was examined and compared with that of commercial (Sr,Ba)_2SiO_4:Eu~(2+) and ?-SiAlON:Eu~(2+) green phosphors.
