Capital goods industry out of the woods

THE capital goods stocks have bounced back over the past three months on reduction in concerns over rupee decline, clearances given to some delayed projects, hopes of change in political leadership, policy measures taken by the government and reasonable valuations. There is also a sense of optimism about an imminent revival of the capex cycle going into 2014-15. Policy moves have also helped build optimism in the sector.
