Korean steel major Posco inaugurated on Thursday "ils first processing centre in the country at Pune thatwillserve the electronics and automobile manufacturers here and the western region. The centre set up as a 65:35 joint venture between Posco and consumer electronics major LG Electronics, hasa capacity toprocess 130,000 tonnepf HRsteel. The joint venture Eas invested Rs 65 crore in the project. The processfng centre will source flat steel, and slit and cut it according-to the requirements of the customers, largely jn the electricals industry for transformers, washing machines or other home appliances and the automobije manufacturing sector for components.
