With the promulgation of Industrial Policy 2001, the state government has finally woken up and is pledged to transform the state into a vibrant industrial hub of India. When we talk of industrial growth of Orissa, the name of the reputed VISA Steel Limited cannot be missed out. VISA Steel is the Indian manufacturing and logistic arm of the ViSA Group, a 1600 crore rapidly growing minerals and metals giant. VISA Steel has been a part of Orissa's growth and development for the last 10 years contributing its every" bit for the development of the state. VISA Steel started in 1998 and made a beginning by setting up a Chrome Ore Beneficiation Plant and Chrome Ore Drying, Grinding and Bagging Plant at Golagaon, Orissa. The company is currently setting up a 1.5 million TPA fully integrated steel and stainless steel plant in Kalinganagar Industrial Complex, Orissa which induces the Blast Furnaces, Coke Qyens, DRI Kilns, Ferro Chrome Furnaces, Power Plants and Steel Melt Shops.
