RINL expansion: work on sinter plant-3 begins

The construction work on sinter plant-3, taken up as part of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant expansion project, began on Wednesday. Mr Y. Sivasagara Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, said that it was the first of the turnkey projects in the expansion project. It has been awarded to McNally Bharat Engineering Company, Kolkata and Tyazhprom export (Russia). The total cost of the project is Rs 687 crore; the project is to be commissioned in 28 months.
