Decision on Posco by Jan-end: Jairam

The Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) will decide on the fate of Pos-co's integrated steel plant in Orissa by January end. Posco proposes to invest about $12 billion in a 12 million tonne per annum (mtpa) integrated steel plant and a captive port in Orissa. "We have received all the information on Posco and by January-end we will have complete clarity on the future of this project," said the Environment Minister, Mr Jairam Ramesh, said on Wednesday.
