Essar Steel steps up HR coil processing' capacity

Essar Steel has enhanced HK (hot rolled) coil processing-capacity at Bahdurgarh (NCR) and Pune. The Essar Steel Processing: and Distribution Facility now has world class slitting line for thicker HR steel coils. These slitters have the capacity to process 100,000 tonnes of HR coil a year. Targeted at meeting the needs of the fast-growing auto and construction sector, the HR slitter facility will be complimented by narrow cut-to-length lines, which will provide high speed, high quality blanking of HR "coils' as desired by the customers, the company said in a press release on Thursday.
