THE appointments committee of the cabinet (ACC) has returned the file of probable candidates for SAIL chairman's post to the steel ministry seeking some clarification on the credentials of listed persons, which may force the administrative ministry to take interim measures after the retirement of current incumbent SK Roongta. "Some query has been raised over the credentials of candidates. Going by the rule book, the ministry will verify all facts before the name is again put up for approval to the ACC," said a steel ministry official.
