JSPL to raise 150 mn dollars via ECB

JSPL is in talks with international financial institutions to raise the required amount to be utilised for a new 250 MW power plant at Raigarh in Chhattisgarh, and greenfield ventures in Orissa and Jharkhand. "We hope to sew up the deal by the third quarter of the current financial year and have already initiated discussions with various leading financial institutions abroad. The ECB will be paid back over in six to seven years," said Sushil Maroo, director (Finance), JSPL. However, he refused to divulge details.
