Ontario posts greener diesel guide for public comment

The Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change has posted a draft guide to compliance with its Greener Diesel - Renewable Fuel Content Requirements for Petroleum Diesel Fuel Regulation (O.Reg. 97/14). The Greener Diesel regulation took effect April 1, 2014 and requires that diesel fuel sold in Ontario blend in a certain minimum amount of bio-based diesel fuel - diesel fuel derived from renewable sources. The regulation also specifies certain greenhouse gas emission improvements for the blended fuel.
