摘要

Formulation and solution of the inverse problem, providing geometrical and loading information about a hidden line crack within a finite elastic structure by means of ultrasonic scattered data on the accessible boundary is presented. The method is based on the 2D boundary integral equation representation for the scattered field in the frequency domain, on its low frequency asymptotic solution and on a simple nonlinear optimization-based technique. An application of the proposed method is discussed at the example of a cracked solder joint.
