Intramyocardial Dissecting Hematoma: Cardiac Trauma and Ischemic Heart Disease: Multimodality Imaging Techniques

Mini-Abstract A 37-year-old male patient came to hospital after an accidental fall from 8.20feet high. CT scan showed an image compatible with an old myocardial infarction at the apex of the left ventricle (LV) and a thrombosed aneurysm. At the echocardiography, adjacent to LV apex, an image of low echoic density was seen, as well as a mobile endocardial flap, suggesting a contained subacute ventricular rupture. Three multisegment arterial diseases were found at the coronary angiography. It was agreed to choose a conservative treatment. The patient was controlled with the performance of 3D, contrast echocardiography, and cardiac MRI confirming diagnosis of intramyocardial dissecting hematoma.
