DATA ANALYTICS TO ASSESS SAP FINANCIAL BUSINESS PROCESSES

Information entered into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is often only used to support its associated business process. This article examines how the transactional data can be sued to assess control, business process efficiency and effectiveness, and support the understanding of the configuration and use of the ERP system. The types of analyses presented support a post-implementation review, the comparison of multiple instance of SAP, and a consolidation exercise.
