ONGC-Petrobras deep tie up

India's state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) and Brazilian state player Petrobras have signed a co-operation agreement to operate six deepwater exploration blocks - three offshore India and three off Brazil.Petrobras said the deal, which includes ONGC's overseas unit ONGC Videsh, will cover blocks in Brazil's Maranhao, Sergipe-Alagoas and Santos Basins and in India's Krishna Godavari, Mahanadi and Cauvery Basins. At least one well would be drilled in each block under the deal.
