Petroleum Geo-Services PGS said today that it has struck a US 275m deal to acquire MTEM, a provider of electromagnetic (EM) services used to detect the presence of hydrocarbons.MTEM (Multi-Transient Electro-Magnetic) has developed a cable-based EM technology that showed strong results in commercial operations.
